My Special Event Assignment

My Special Event Assignment is Rio, I love you. It  has 8 stores and 12 directors such as John Turturro, Paolo Sorrentino, Fernando Meirelles. The move came out on September 11, 2014 and it is from Brazilin.
I went to Gene Siskel film Center for my first time. It is completely different than AMC, which I usually go to. I only saw to theater not more. Also, the theater chairs are old. I noticed a poster of Arabic movie, that is good.
I went to this film because I like the trailer. While I am watching I got confused because the movie has 7or 8 stores and almost all of them has an open ending.
I think I will go back to Gene Siskel film Center to watch  other movies.

My Third Reflection about Movies

My Third Reflection about Movies

Who does not like movies? Movies take a big part in my life, They always be interesting topics for me and in the last month, I learned many things about movies starting by movie genre and ending with interesting and funny movie trailer-poster.
As always in pop Culture classes we learn by many ways. We read three articles, Why we crave Horror movies, Tyler Perry's Money Machine and Bollywood Princess. The first article was all new for me, I have never think about why people like or dislike Horror movies. Stephen King in this article lists four reasons of why people Crave Horror movies, to show that they are not scared, make people feel like normal people, fun and peculiar sort of fun, which means enjoying watching people killed. Moreover, this started in a movie where white killed black. I also knew from the second article that Tyler Perry's films are specificity for African Americans.
Making a poster, trailer and a slide from a class PowerPoint, is also one of the things, which we use to learn. First, Tania genre, which was about Bollywood. I did not know that Bollywood movies are more than Hollywood, Bollywood has1041 and Hollywood has only 500 films, and the reason is they are cheaper. We also made posters- trailers about a specific story line, our teacher hand it to us. Jami plot was very interesting and his poster also was very good.
Thinking and seeking, List of terms, I learned new vocabularies about movies such as cinematography and blockbuster. More thing to remember, we had a good discussion about Oscar award and why it always for white and here was my aha moment. When our teacher played Chris Rock part's of  Oscar, then explained that the reason is not racism. Oscar judges are white so when they see movies their culture and what they think is the best is different than black culture which show on most black movies. This was one of the reasons. Also we looked for movie industry like Paramount, Warner Bros and Tyler Perry Studios in order to noticed the differences.
We looked deeper for Bollywood stars, Anupama Chopra and Aishwarya Bachchan. About their lifestyle and their experience at Hollywood. We discussed how Aishwarya Bachchan refused Will Smith offer to go back for a Karva Chauth, which is a day all married women fast from sunrise until moonrise.

After a few minutes, Johan came and introduced himself to her "Hello, I am Johan, I am an intern. I saw that you dropped your coffee on your work." Jas answer " Hi, I am Jas, a surgeon in heart department, yeah unfortunate, I have to hand them out tomorrow by the lunch time. He offered his help. Jas was so happy and needed his help, so she did not refuse it.
